Isn't it sweet to be back in the NL? After getting humiliated by the AL, which looks to be as strong as ever, the Phillies returned to the safe confines of the NL East and posted an 8-3 victory last night. Everything looked better. Kyle Kendrick pitched well again, and the offense put up a bunch of runs, including several in the late innings to put away the game. It would be great to win two in a row and guarantee our first series win since sweeping this same team in the same place earlier this month, but I can't say I'm too confident in Adam Eaton.

The Phillies still haven't announced who will take Brett Myers' spot in the rotation. In the meantime, they called up R.J. Swindle from AAA because Clay Condrey's wife just had a baby. He'll probably stick around until a starter is actually called up. Why announce it now? Make the Mets wait and give them less time to scout whoever comes up.
