Eastern Quarters Game 6: Capitals at Flyers (2-3)

Cristobal Huet v. Martin Biron

The Capitals kept the series alive Saturday afternoon, when they got off to a fast start and just managed to hang on. They played like a desperate team, and the Flyers didn't bring the energy to match it. Tonight, that has to be much different. The Flyers have to start fast and dictate the pace. They need to come out and punish Washington and win battles in the corners and for loose pucks.

What will they do with Mike Knuble? Bill Meltzer will have the answer shortly. He's very good in front of the net on the power play, and he's a responsible two way player. He obviously scored the clutch 2OT goal, and he's a pretty underrated player. I'd imagine Hartnell will take his place on the PP since he's another big body that can pick up the trash when necessary.

Bill Meltzer has lines and scratches. Cote will dress again and Thoresen is promoted again.

I said it before Game 4 and I'll say it here again. Whoever wins this game wins the series. Obviously this will wrap up things for the Flyers, but if the Caps come away with another, they're going to have all the momentum back in their building. Not a good situation to be in.
