Wes Helms has been traded to Florida, as per Ken Rosenthal and several other places.
Helms was designated for assignment earlier this week, and the Phillies had a limited time to trade him before he just became a free agent. Florida knew that Helms would opt to go to a contender if possible, so they jumped the gun and made a move. The Phillies will receive a PTBNL. I'm going to make a list of guys on Florida's minor league DL. If it's a player to be named, it's either someone that's currently injured or a 2007 draft pick.

If we get a guy from that list, it'll probably be a pitcher. It's really unlikely they trade anyone in AA or above and probably not their 2007 first rounder, Matt Dominguez.
