Rollins And Snelling DL'd; Harman And Bohn Up

The Phillies' website tells us more.

Obviously, Jimmy Rollins has that ankle injury that he suffered in the Mets' home opener. The organization didn't handle this one very well. It was initially diagnosed as an ankle sprain, and even though Rollins wants to play badly, they have to hold him out of the games. That's not the kind of injury you can just come back from immediately, and he could've spent these past couple weeks rehabbing. It left the Phillies short a man on the bench, and no one benefited from how this was handled. You can make the case that he won't be back in 15 days anyway, but the will he or won't he dramatics didn't help anyone.

Chris Snelling was hurt, and no one knew. It's a knee injury, so who knows when he'll be back. He hit that home run which was great, and I like him on the roster over So Taguchi.

Brad Harman will take the place of Rollins on the roster for the time being. He was the only other infielder on the 40 man roster, so it made sense to bring him up. He's swinging the bat pretty poorly right now, but there's a question of whether or not he'll actually play at all. His prospect status is decent because of his bat, not his glove. That's not good news for people who aren't happy with Bruntlett's glove. He probably won't be able to play SS in the majors.

Bohn was claimed on waivers late last season. He has decent speed and a decent glove, which is probably okay for a backup OF. I doubt he'll play that much.
